All
DLV Breeding Regulations must be followed in regards to dogs used in the
Gruppe Nordamerika breeding program. Standards in inherited natural hunting
abilities, such as nose, search, pointing, tracking, cooperation, water
search, and retrieving in conjunction with an evaluation of hips, temperament,
type, conformation and coat have been used to ensure that only the best
Deutsch Langhaars are bred.
Gruppe Nordamerika
does not endorse any specific breeder/kennel, nor offer any guarantees.
Gruppe Nordamerika is a breed club formed to promote Deutsch Langhaars
while protecting the integrity of the breed. All puppies whelped in Deutsch
Langhaar Gruppe Nordamerika are registered with the Deutsch Langhaar Verband
(DLV) in Germany, receive a registration number from the DLV, along with
an official pedigree issued by the DLV, under the umbrella of the VDH
and JGHV. DL puppies are tattooed at seven weeks of age with the DLV registration
number in their right ear before they leave the breeder's kennel. The
tattoo number indicates the birth order of all DL puppies registered with
the DLV in a particular year. For example, 588 05 indicates that it was
the 588th puppy born and registered with the DLV in 2005. However, just
because a dog has a tattoo, does not mean that it is a DL or VDH/JGHV/DLV
registered. All puppies whelped in Deutsch Langhaar Gruppe Nordamerika
are registered with the the DLV and receive an Ahnentafel, or 4+ generation
German pedigree, issued by the Deutsch Langhaar Verband and stamped with
the JGHV and VDH official logos. |
