1-Year Old Trained Dunkelschimmel Male
Whelped June 16th, 2019
Currently located near Fairbanks, Alaska but shipping available
Steve was imported from Germany late last summer with the hopes of him becoming a breed-certified stud dog. But unfortunately he is not going to fulfill that hope so he will be available very soon. Steve passed his VJP this spring with very limited exposure to birds. He is a really solidly-built male standing about 64cm tall. He was raised in the house and is crate-trained/housebroken. He is currently with a trainer in Fairbanks, Alaska preparing for his HZP. Steve will be available to a new home immediately following the completion of his HZP (August 24th/25th).
Steve is a smart sweet dog with a positive attitude who enjoys being with his family. He knows obedience commands. He was raised with older children. He has completed force-fetch, is doing very well with water work and should grow into a proficient waterfowler. He has limited exposure in the uplands thus far but shows great aptitude for small game hunting.
Although he currently lives in Alaska, he could be shipped anywhere in North American relatively easily. Steve would do best in a single-dog household. He has shown some aggression towards other dogs. Otherwise, he would make a great hunting companion for someone looking for a well-trained dog to hunt behind this fall.
