Available Started Dogs

From time to time, adolescent or adult dogs become available for rehoming. DL-GNA posts these dogs here as a courtesy to members but makes no guarantees about any dog. Please contact the rehoming coordinator if you would like to be placed on a contact list for when rehoming opportunities become available.

Biene von Obenstaat

Whelped: November 2018

Color: Brown

Biene is a five-year-old female spayed DL looking for a new hunting home. She’s currently located in Tennessee.

Strengths: Biene is a dog that loves being around people. She has a great off switch which makes her a pleasure to have around - as long as she has a dog bed she’s happy! She’s had continual obedience and hunting training and is a great hunting companion. She’s driven, searches patiently, and has good obedience and great recall. She’s steady to flush and retrieves reliably. She also loves the water, though her hunting experience is mainly upland.

Weaknesses: Biene is reactive to other dogs, which is the reason for rehoming. She has had training for this and has shown some improvement outside the home, but struggles with interactions in her own space. Biene would do best in a home that has experience with reactive dogs, or one with no other pets or kids.
